hey, i'm stacie.

I'm an editorial designer and illustrator with a passion for combining art and journalism.

I live in Lady Lake, Florida, where I work as a production editor for The Villages Daily Sun. As a visual journalist, I collaborate with writers, photographers and editors to package our daily print product, from the hyper-local news section to the front page.

A recent graduate from Ball State University, I found my calling as a print and digital designer for the Ball State Daily News and Ball Bearings magazine. As a fine art major, I also immersed myself at the intersection of art, history and journalism as the communications manager of a community letterpress shop and makerspace at Book Arts Collaborative.

Outside of art school and student media, I also found a community within AIGA and SND, attending conferences, events and workshops with the student chapters. I most recently represented the Daily Sun as a facilitator at the 39th SND Best of News Design Competition, as well as write and plan content for SNDCampus.

When I'm not designing for news, you can find me drawing late into the night, traveling central Florida or spoiling my rescue cats.
