Hey, I’m Stacie.

I currently work as a production editor for The Villages Daily Sun,  a top 12 finalist in the Society for News Design’s World’s Best-Designed Newspaper competition. Production editor is really a fancy word for visual journalist and page designer.

I enjoy combining the conceptual, technical, and hand skills of design to solve challenging problems. As a recent graduate, I worked on projects such as print and digital design at the Ball State Daily News, and managing a community letterpress shop and maker space at Book Arts Collaborative. I’ve had the opportunity to immersive myself at the intersection of art, history, and journalism, and am currently exploring illustration.

My passion for visual storytelling drives my desire to continue growing as a better designer and human. I believe that designers have a responsibility to break down information while speaking to the reader and that graphics are not an afterthought, but the story itself.

I am inspired by the long-lost pages of history, write extensive to-do lists, and am always up for ice cream.
